40: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (2007)

Voluptuous, V8-powered, low-volume and expensive, the 8C was less than pure for being Maserati-powered, but it was a beauty in both coupé and Spider forms. It made beautiful sounds, too.

Matt Prior: “You know how it goes with concept cars: they all look terrific, and yet the resulting production versions look nothing like them. Well, not so with the 8C Competizione. They made 500 and, truth be told, they weren’t great to drive. The bigger truth is that it has never mattered less.”
